NIBF 2023: REPRONIG COPYRIGHT AWARENESS FORUM HOLDS TODAY

REPRONIG, in collaboration with its international parent body, the International Federation of Reproductive Rights Organizations (IFFRO), is pleased to announce the commencement of the Copyright Awareness Forum at the Nigeria International Book Fair (NIBF) 2023. The forum will be held today, Friday, 12th May 2023, at Yard 158, Opposite The Citadel, Oregun Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 12 noon.

Themed "Reproduction Rights: Concepts, Perspectives, and Benefits for the Nigerian Book Industry," this workshop is designed to enlighten participants, including authors, publishers, artists, and other industry stakeholders, on the advantages of reproduction rights. REGRONIG is honored to bring together distinguished speakers and thought leaders from the International Federation of Reprographic Rights Organization (IFRRO) to discuss the latest trends and developments in reproduction rights.

Distinguished speakers at the event include Mr. Gbadega Adedapo, the newly elected Chairman and CEO of Ibadan-based Accessible Publishers Ltd, and Dr. John Asein, Director-General of the Nigeria Copyright Commission (NCC). These experts will shed light on the concept of reproductive rights, sharing their valuable insights and experiences with the audience.

In addition, esteemed guests, Dora Makwinja, Joseph Gyamfi, Olav Stokmmo, and Sarah Tran, will join virtually from their respective bases, further enriching the discussions and bringing a global perspective to the forum.

The Copyright Awareness Forum aims to provide practical insights on navigating the complex landscape of reproduction rights.
