ADWINSA PUBLICATIONS, IBADAN BOOK CLUB TO ORGANIZE IBADAN WRITERS CONFERENCE, SETS UP IBADAN WRITERS ACADEMY

 

Adwinsa Publications Nigeria Limited in conjunction with Ibadan Book Club has expressed readiness to organize a one day conference for Oyo state based writers, publishers, bloggers, librarians and editors. 

 

This was contained in a press statement issued by the Coordinator of Ibadan Book Club, Ayobami Odunyemi in Ibadan on Sunday.

 

According to the release, the conference is part of the club’s plan to support the efforts of Oyo State writers and to help them effectively transition from one stage of the writing or publishing process to the next.  

 

Ibadan Writers Conference is a one day conference, designed to guide and assist Oyo state up and coming writers through the process of writing. The primary purpose of this conference is to help unlock the potentials of Oyo state based writers as “writers” and to help them understand and realize their writing potential.

 

Ibadan Writers Conference also aims to provide the highest quality of creating writing course, support, and community for writers and readers in Oyo State and beyond. The Conference will also strive to ensure that Creative Writing maintains its proper prominence in the state, and that individuals achieve their fullest potential as writers.

 

Ibadan Writers Conference welcomes all interested Oyo state citizens who want to learn more about writing and publishing, no matter their age, experience, or education.

 

The conference has been slated to take place on the 22nd day of October, 2022.

 

Some of the topics to cover include: Key elements of writing (Poetry, Prose and Drama), Obtaining ISBN, ISSN, character development, publishing, editing, scriptwriting, graphics design, illustration, electronic publishing, ghost writing etc.
