IBADAN BOOK CLUB APPOINTS FORMER OYO STATE LIBRARIAN AKINLOLU AS GRAND PATRON
The immediate past Oyo State Librarian, Mrs. Adebola Akinlolu has been appointed the Grand Patron of Ibadan Book Club (IBC).
The award was conferred on her during the January reading of the club which took place at the Oyo State Library Board (OYSLB) on the 29th of January, 2022.
The Coordinator of Ibadan Book Club, Ayobami Odunyemi told newsmen in Ibadan on Monday that the club decided to honour the ex- Oyo state librarian because of her consistent support for reading culture and the book industry.
In her remarks, the Coordinator of Ibadan Book Club, Ayobami Odunyemi, expressed appreciation to Mrs. Adebola Akinlolu for her support to the book club, among which were allocation of reading space for our monthly readings within the Oyo State Library Board (OYSLB) and prompt response to requests.
In the same vein, Mrs. Adebola Akinlolu lauded the leadership and members of Ibadan Book Club for their contributions to the growth and development of reading culture in Oyo State, describing the group as one of the most responsible, responsive and consistent book clubs in Nigeria.
She finally commended Ibadan Book Club for rendering selfless service and promised to continue to identify with the club as it strives to attain its laudable goals.
