IBADAN BOOKS AND ARTS SHOW SET TO IGNITE IBADAN TOMORROW

Tomorrow marks the commencement of the highly anticipated Ibadan Books and Arts Show (IBASHOW 2024), promising to set the vibrant city of Ibadan ablaze with literary and artistic fervor. The event will kick off on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the expansive grounds of Yinbol College, Orogun, Ibadan, starting promptly at 10 a.m.
IBASHOW 2024 emerges as a pivotal convergence point for publishers, authors, artists, educationists, public office holders, teachers, students, and enthusiasts alike. The three-day extravaganza will culminate on Saturday, May 18, 2024, with the ANA Oyo Literary Feast serving as the grand finale.
Renowned writer, Dr. Wale Okediran, Secretary-General of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA), Ghana, will have the distinct honor of inaugurating IBASHOW 2024. Prof. Andrew Okwilagwe, MD/Chairman of Stirling-Horden Publishers, Ibadan, will preside over the opening ceremony as Chairman.
With its thematic focus on "PROMOTING BOOKS & ARTWORKS FOR DEVELOPMENT," IBASHOW 2024 promises insightful discourse and engagement. Dr. Sola Alimi of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, will deliver a thought-provoking keynote address, setting the tone for meaningful discussions and collaborations.
Adding regal grace to the occasion, Dr. Bayo Adebowale, the distinguished Asiwaju of Adeyipo, will grace IBASHOW 2024 as the Royal Guest of Honour. The second day, Friday, May 17, 2024, will witness Mr. Kunle Sogbein, MD of Quantum Educational Resource Limited, assuming the role of Chairman, while Mr. Biola Layonu, Chair of ANA Oyo, will helm the proceedings on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
