The Nigeria International Book Fair (NIBF) is an annual event that brings together publishers, booksellers, printers, and other stakeholders in the book industry. The event provides a platform for participants to showcase their products and services, as well as network with other professionals in the industry. The 22nd edition of the NIBF is scheduled to take place from the 10th to the 13th of May 2023, and the Nigerian Book Fair Trust (NBFT) is calling for exhibitors to take part in the event.
In a document issued by the Chairman and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Book Fair Trust, Dare Oluwatuyi and Abiodun Omotubi listed several categories of organizations that can exhibit at the book fair. These include book publishers, book printers, booksellers/book distributors, library equipment suppliers, libraries, research institutes, literary agents, art galleries, ICT and telecom providers, banks and other financial institutions, computer software producers/distributors, private book developers, printing equipment producers/suppliers, online service providers, corporate gift producers/suppliers, stationery producers/suppliers, NGOs, professional, technical, and scientific service providers, educational toys and games producers/suppliers, and more.
Exhibiting at the NIBF provides a great opportunity for organizations to showcase their products and services to a wide audience. Publishers, for instance, can showcase their latest titles, while printers can display their printing equipment and services. Booksellers and distributors can showcase their distribution networks, while library equipment suppliers can showcase their latest products. Similarly, research institutes can showcase their latest research findings, and literary agents can showcase their clients' work.
Art galleries, on the other hand, can showcase works of art that are related to the book industry, while ICT and telecom providers can showcase their latest technologies that are relevant to the industry. Banks and other financial institutions can showcase their services, such as loans and other financial products that are relevant to the industry. Computer software producers/distributors can showcase their latest software that is designed for the book industry, while private book developers can showcase their latest book development projects.
Exhibitors can also take advantage of the NIBF to network with other professionals in the industry. This can lead to new partnerships, collaborations, and other business opportunities. Additionally, the NIBF provides a great opportunity for exhibitors to learn about the latest trends, innovations, and developments in the industry.
