AJIBOLA, CHIDERA, EZEMAGU TO HEADLINE IBADAN BOOK CLUB JUNE READING
The Ibadan Book Club has unveiled the lineup for its June edition of the Oyo Reads Project, featuring Mojeed Ajibola Adeyinka, Chidera Dike, and Chinenyike Lawrence Ezemagu. This event promises an enriching experience for book enthusiasts and literary connoisseurs.
Launched earlier this year, the Oyo Reads Project is a joint initiative between the Ibadan Book Club and the Writers League of Oyo State, aiming to spread the joy of book readings throughout the state.
The upcoming reading is set for June 29, 2024, at the Oyo State Library Board, located opposite Cocoa House in Dugbe, Ibadan. The event will begin promptly at 12:00 PM, offering attendees the chance to engage in captivating literary discussions and vibrant cultural exchanges.
Wole Adedoyin, the founder of the Ibadan Book Club, expressed his excitement about the forthcoming event, highlighting its importance in fostering a deeper appreciation for literature and promoting literacy within the community.
Participants can look forward to stimulating discussions, book signings, and opportunities to interact with the featured authors. The event is open to the public, inviting anyone with a passion for literature and a curiosity for diverse narratives.

MEET OUR GUEST WRITERS
CHIDERA DIKE grew up in Aba; a commercial city in Abia State. He has spent most of his life in the East and just moved to Ibadan recently to further his education. He obtained his O' level degree in Ugo Comprehensive Secondary School, Aba in 2018 and had worked in Ace Greatwinner Secondary School, Aba, as a science teacher. He had volunteered as a community leader and recorder in few immunization exercises conducted by UNICEF, in collaboration with The World Health Organisation. He is to pursue a career in health sciences and some of his aims is to inhibit the spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa and to provide free medical services to people who cannot afford it.
Chidera Dike is an upcoming writer whose aim is focused in promoting African culture and traditions, human right and young Nigerians in participating in politics.
MOJEED AJIBOLA ADEYINKA is a final student of Communication and Language Arts in the University of Ibadan. Mojeed had his journalism training in National Broadcast Academy at Ikeja in Lagos state. Mojeed is an award-winning writer and campus journalist in the University of Ibadan. He has authored several books and published three of them. His first book is titled: Haleemah The Healthy Girl, his second book titled: The New Normal has been recommended by Oyo State Ministry of Education as a literature text for junior secondary school in the state. Mojeed's third and recent book is The Breakfast.

CHINENYIKE LAWRENCE EZEMAGU. CHINENYIKE is a Nigerian writer who has authored a number of books, including essays. He is a graduate of the prestigious university of Ibadan (2018) and Dominican University, (2022), Ibadan. He is a member of Association of Nigerian Authors and Ibadan Book Club. He is a trained and certified cybersecurity professional, modern language expert, a teacher, writer, researcher and chess enthusiast, whose research interests include: African history, science history, political philosophy, African religion and civilization, existentialism and modern language. Until his recent appointment at FOUND AFRICA TECHNOLOGY, Chinenyike has spent years in the classroom, doing what he loves doing, teaching and growing numerous minds. His days at CEOAfrica Ibadan as a news editor and story creator (2022) were brief, yet illustrious, writing and editing stories according to strict timelines as well as the creation of the company newsletter.
Chinenyike has professional membership with: Historical Society of Nigeria (SHN); Association of Nigeria Authors (ANA), Oyo; Ibadan Book Club; Africa Public Speaking Academy (APSA); Africa Society of Healthcare Professionals (ASHP); Disaster Volunteers International (DVI); International Center for Igbo Cultural Diplomacy; Africa Network of Hospitality Professionals (ANHP); Africa Export Academy (AEA); National Association of philosophy (NAPS); Digital Trainers and Facilitators (DTF).
