IBADAN BOOK CLUB COMMISERATES WITH JIDE OGUNLANA OVER MOTHER’S DEATH
The Ibadan Book Club (IBC) has commiserated with one of her patrons, Mr. Jide Ogunlana and his entire family over the demise of his mother, Mrs. Abigail Woleola Ogunlana.
The Founder of Ibadan Book Club, Wole Adedoyin, made this known in a condolence letter he signed which was made available to newsmen on Saturday, 23rd, 2024.
As a prominent member of the Ibadan Book Club, Mr. Jide Ogunlana has been an integral part of the Club, actively participating in her literary events and discussions. His dedication to promoting literacy and intellectual discourse has left a lasting impact on the organization, and the club stand with him during this difficult time.
The Ibadan Book Club prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and encouraged Mr. Jide Ogunlana to take solace in the fact that his mother led a life worthy of emulation.
The statement said that the fact that the deceased was able to attain an old age before her passing on was a proof that she led an exemplary life.
“Members of the Ibadan Book Club extend their deepest condolences to you and your family over this great loss. Although death is inevitable, the exit of a parent is always a painful experience. Late Mrs. Abigail Woleola Ogunlana was a devoted, kind, meek, steadfast, liberal and resourceful woman who brought her children up in the fear of God."
The Ibadan Book Club finally prayed God to give the deceased family, friends, community and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
