World Poetry Day: IHRAF Calls on Poets to Address Human Rights Abuse and Societal Decadence through their works

WORLD POETRY DAY: IHRAF CALLS ON POETS TO ADDRESS HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE AND SOCIETAL DECADENCE THROUGH POETRY

 

The African Chapter of the International Human Rights Art Festival (IHRAF) marked World Poetry Day by calling on poets to address human rights abuse and societal decadence through their art. This year's theme is "Poetry for Human Rights: Addressing Abuse and Decadence in Society."

In a statement by the Director of IHRAF in Africa, Wole Adedoyin said World Poetry Day is celebrated every year on March 21st, and it is an opportunity to recognize the unique ability of poetry to capture the human experience, to convey emotions, and to connect people across cultures and borders.

IHRAF is a non-profit organization that celebrates art and activism through the arts. The organization believes that art is a powerful tool for social change, and they are dedicated to promoting and supporting artists who use their work to address important issues, including human rights abuses.

The International Human Rights Art Festival has urged poets to address human rights abuse and societal decadence in their work. IHRAF believes that poetry is a powerful way to raise awareness and to promote positive change. The organization has called on poets from around the world to use their voices to speak out against human rights abuses and to help create a more just and equitable world.

IHRAF is encouraging poets to use their art to address a wide range of human rights abuses, including issues such as gender inequality, racism, discrimination, poverty, and violence.
