Adeyinka, Orah to Headline Ibadan Book Club's October Reading

 ADEYINKA, ORAH TO HEADLINE IBADAN BOOK CLUB'S OCTOBER READING


 

Following the successful Ibadan Book Review Writing Workshop, Sensitization Workshop on Legal Deposit, ISBN, ISSN, and the Ibadan Book Publishing Workshop, the Ibadan Book Club, in conjunction with the Milton Society of Africa, is excited to announce that Mojeed Ajibola Adeyinka and Maxwell Orah will headline its October Book Reading. This much-anticipated event is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Oyo State Library Board, opposite Cocoa House, Dugbe, Ibadan, starting at 12 PM.

Mojeed Ajibola Adeyinka, a final-year student of Communication and Language Arts at the University of Ibadan, brings a wealth of experience and talent to the event. Trained in journalism at the National Broadcast Academy in Ikeja, Lagos State, Mojeed is not only an award-winning writer but also a celebrated campus journalist. His contributions to literature have positioned him as a rising star in the literary community.    

Mojeed has authored three books that showcase his diverse writing capabilities. His debut, "Haleemah The Healthy Girl," highlights his storytelling prowess. "The New Normal," his second work, has been recognized by the Oyo State Ministry of Education as recommended literature for junior secondary schools, underscoring his impact on educational literature. His latest book, "The Breakfast," further solidifies his reputation as a compelling storyteller.

Beyond his writing, Mojeed Ajibola is known for his passion for reading and his engaging presence as a compere at religious and social events. Olatunbosun, who celebrated his milestone birthday recently, is a distinguished figure in broadcast journalism with over 14 years of extensive experience.

Members and Executives of the Ibadan Book Club have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as he celebrates his 80th birthday. 


The club, which has always upheld the values of culture, education, and community, recognized Oba Ladoja for his outstanding contributions to the socio-political and cultural development of Ibadan and Nigeria at large.

Akinnuoye Tunde is a seasoned professional in book development and production, holding a BA in Publishing and currently pursuing an MCA. His academic background has provided him with a strong foundation in the intricacies of print media, focusing on book production and the management of publishing processes. His ongoing studies further deepen his expertise, positioning him as a thought leader in the field.

Tunde’s career spans over three decades, beginning as a Production Planning Officer at Academy Press, Lagos, in 1985. He has since advanced through various roles, including his tenure as Head of Production at Minaj Prints from 1993 to 2004. His expertise in production planning was further sharpened by advanced training at Lithotech in 1992. Following his work at Minaj Prints, he served as Senior Production Manager at Regent Printing and Publishing in Abuja, and later as General Manager of Production at Zacch & Chrome in 2005.

Currently, Tunde is the Production Service Manager at Evans Publishers in Ibadan, where he continues to apply his extensive experience in print production and marketing. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to excellence in the publishing industry, marked by leadership roles and a focus on efficient production processes.

Fadele Olusola Daniel is the esteemed e-librarian and Head of the eLibrary section at The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
